California International Film Festival

CIFF - California International Film Festival is looking for unique screenwriters and directors capable of creating their own rhythm with diverse, fascinating works filled with absolute life and featuring fresh voices and unconventional, but universally attractive stories.

The goal of the CIFF - California International Film Festival is to raise awareness of the author's cinema and screenwriting as a means aimed not only at entertainment but, most importantly, as a powerful and diverse artistic statement capable of changing the reality that we face every day, to tell the audience about the time that is primarily the queue belongs to people.

We want to offer our capital Sacramento an annual event dedicated to the glorification of art, and we hope that it will become an integral part of the cultural life of the city.
Nominations
We create a new business approach- All participants whose works will be selected by the committee of the festival organization, included in the shortlist, will receive official awards.
- In each season, among the winners, regardless of which category you won, films are selected for screening at the annual ceremony. We personally inform the authors about the choice. Invitations are sent from the mail.
- You can submit work in several categories at your discretion.
- You can submit any number of works, each of them will be considered as a separate work.

Rules

Your work can be in any language or in any genre. All films made not in English must have subtitles in English to be presented at the festival.
You can send several applications.
You can submit several works.
The works selected and presented for the final event will be shown at an organized festival in California, Sacramento County, Sacramento, in December 2023.
The film must be submitted before the deadline of September 30, 2023.
The work submitted for selection will be considered final, and no changes will be made after submission.
Choice:
• The winners are selected by a committee of the CIFF organization consisting of independent producers, cinematographers and other film industry professionals, who can be replaced at the discretion of the festival organizers.
• No work or artist will be discriminated against or preferred based on their country of origin, language, age, race, education, gender, ideology or their economic resources. Any content, every form, every technique will be allowed without any censorship.
• The selection of films for the festival will be carried out by the CIFF organization committee, whose decision will be final. However, the festival administration reserves the right to accept or reject any film that may offend the feelings of any caste, community, religion or sector, may contribute to racism or ill-will in society.
• Submitted works must be the original work of the participants and must not infringe any copyrights.
• Participants will retain all ownership rights to the films submitted by them.
